Ranch
Code:786

This historic ranch dates back to 1890, and is located in a beautiful natural setting, almost beyond compare. It sits in a lovely

valley at a 4800 foot elevation in the hills between the Santa Catalina and Rincon Mountains, on the far east side of Tucson,

Arizona. The spirit of the romantic old west can be yours! Let the sweeping vistas and starry nights of the historic ranch

take you back in time, to a place you'll never forget! This secluded, intimate guest ranch offers horseback riding over 65,000

spectacular acres, cattle round up programs and some of the best hiking in the west. A stay offers a very intimate, authentic

old west ranch experience, which allows you to develop a special relationship with your horse! You may get your horse

from the corral in the morning, then groom and saddle him before going out for long, leisurely range rides, or let our

wranglers spoil you! You'll enjoy the beautiful scenery, the companionship of a good horse, your fellow guests and your

wrangler.

The main ranch house and the beautiful hacienda style courtyards will make you feel right at home! In addition to the spacious

great room with it's huge copper fireplace and shelves and shelves of books and game room with it's pool table and the

charming nature nook, the ranch offers 8 lovely guest rooms, each with it's own private bathroom, some with fireplaces.

After a day in the saddle out on the range, swim in the unique outdoor pool or relax in the luxurious hot tub, with magnificent

views of the mountains all around. The chapel is available for private moments of reflection or enchanting wedding

ceremonies!

This ranch also offers special cattle round up programs and cattle drives on specific dates throughout the year. Moving the

cattle across the wide-open range from one scenic pasture to another will take you back in time to the days of the cowboys

of the true old west. Rounding up the calves for branding, learning to rope, and hours of fantastic horseback riding across

the rugged terrain will provide a glimpse of America's authentic western past! The round ups are physically demanding,

Minimum Age:years:

Remarks:No minimum stay. Check-in is provided at main ranch. The actual

drive time from the Tucson airport to the main ranch is about 35

minutes, however, with time at the gate, deplaning and luggage

collection, guests can expect to arrive at the main ranch about an

hour after their scheduled arrival time. Upon arrival at the main

ranch, the guest checks in, then is driven up to the Bellota. This

transfer time is one hour on a rough, dirt, four wheel drive road up

into the Rincon Mountains. Due to the narrow, primitive road, for

safety reasons, no transfer is provided when it is dark. So, during

the summer, the latest transfer departing from the main ranch to

the Bellota is about 4:30pm, so that the driver has time to get up

there and get the guest settled in, and return safely to the Bellota

before dark. This means that the latest flight arrival for a transfer

directly to the Bellota on the day of arrival would be 3:30pm. In the

winter time, the last transfer time will be earlier, as the sun goes

down so much earlier. In instances like this, where the lateness of

the arrival necessitates staying the first night at the main ranch.

Guest will be informed at time of booking (given flight times are

provided) if a night at the main ranch is necessary.

Ranch is currently closed for the month of July
