Ranch
Code:444

A western welcome awaits you at what is more than just a ranch, it’s a holiday world within itself. Nestled against the

majestic Tucson Mountains, overlooking the vast natural gardens of the Santa Cruz River, the ranch will fill your waking

hours from sun-up to star time with a roundup of vacation pleasures. Take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of

the swimming pool, laze in the sun, play a round of tennis on one of the lighted courts and of course ride the land where

movies have been filmed! All rides are guided by experienced wranglers who will entertain you with tall tales of the "Wild

West". Weekly luncheon rides take you among the "giants of the desert" through Sahuaro National Park West. In the evening,

soak in the spa, read a good book out of the library, play games or cards, meet for an evening of dancing or just

conversation.

A typical day at the Lazy K Bar Ranch:

Whether on horseback, mountain bike or by foot, venturing into the Sonoran Desert is the primary activity.

7 a.m. You awake refreshed and relaxed, slip into your sweats and take a leisurely walk on the Lazy K nature trail.

8 a.m. The breakfast bell clangs and you're greeted by our friendly wait staff with fresh fruit, muffins, and a hot breakfast

buffet. Or, order a custom omelet at the omelet bar.

9:30 a.m. Your favorite horse is saddled up and you're ready for a trail ride into the mountains. Discover the giant Saguaro

cactus and marvel at the lush beauty of the desert.

11:00 a.m. Wander into the lodge for an after-ride snack and lemonade. Relax in the heated pool, or just swing lazily in a

hammock.

12:30 p.m. The lunch bell clangs and it's time to reinforce yourself with homemade soups, salads and the chef's sandwich of

the day.

1:30 p.m. Challenge your new friends at the ranch to a game of shuffleboard, volleyball or billiards. Or work on your riding

skills with a private lesson. Learn how to trap shoot from our expert marksman.

3:30 p.m. Put your riding skills to the test and take the afternoon lope ride. Or, join other ranch guests in team penning (a

cattle and horse game).

4:30 p.m. Bath-time for your horse. Cool and soothe your four-footed friend before turning him loose in the Lazy K pasture.

5:30 p.m. Happy hour! Join ranch wranglers and guests in the Longhorn Bar. You provide your own beverages (it's a BYOB

bar) and we provide the appetizers.

6:30 p.m. Wander down to the Catalina Cookout for a steak or rib dinner under the stars. Circle around the campfire and

enjoy the sounds of our cowboy singer.

8:00 p.m. Curl up in the library with a good book. Or, learn how to dance country-western style.

10:00 p.m. Relax in the hot tub before retreating to your private room. Listen to the quiet as you dream about the adventures

of the your next day.
