| colors, endless skies, wild and rugged canyons. The riding program here consists of several types of rides: trail rides for all |
| levels of experience, challenge rides on more difficult trails and as fast as the rider’s experience permits, adventure rides, |
| which are extended distance rides, on easy or difficult trails, where the horses are trailed to the trail head and the outing s |
| take most of the day, "off the ranch" adventure rides to the Chiricahua Mountains across the valley or even cattle work, |
| where you ride with the cowboys and help gather or drive cattle, check fences, and pack salt. Afterwards, soak in the hot |
| tub, relax with a game of horseshoes or go for a swim (heated pool Apr. - Oct.). You can even play a round of golf at a |
| course nearby (additional cost). |
| Trail Rides |
| You will be guided through some of the most beautiful country you've ever experienced, where the extraordinary scenery |
| changes every few minutes. These trail rides are for all levels of rider skill, besides being marvelous photo opportunities for |
| those wanting to capture the beauty of the desert on film. Morning rides are long enough to truly enjoy the scenery, with as |
| many rest or photo opportunity stops as the riders desire, with stories of nature and local history shared by the wranglers. |
| All guests take a morning Trail Ride as an introduction to their horses, western riding techniques, and the desert-to-mountain |
| terrain - which varies from soft sand to colorful Arizona limestone - before joining other rides in our program, Afternoon and |
| Sunset rides are shorter in duration. |
| Advanced Rides |
| These rides cover more difficult trails, and offer the rider several opportunities to "lope" (or canter) through this amazing |
| country. After their introductory morning Trail Ride, guests may be lope checked in the arena to demonstrate their ability to sit |
| well and control the horse at an increased speed before signing up for the Advanced Ride the following day. Remember - |
| not all the time on these rides is spent loping - there are times when the terrain presents enough of a challenge! |
| Cowboy Adventure Ride/Seasonal Cattle work |
| Ride with one of the cowboys and help them check fence, pack salt - or move a few cows. This ride is offered on Monday |
| and Wednesday mornings in place of the Advanced ride. You must be lope checked before riding the range, as there may be |
| a need for speed at times. There are also four opportunities to participate in seasonal cattle work. |
| Day Rides |
| The Day Rides cover an extended distance on a variety of trails, with a lunch break and rest stops throughout. The ride |
| destinations rotate every two weeks, as we want to vary your riding experience as much as possible. The only exceptions |
| are the popular Off Ranch Adventure Rides, detailed below, which are offered weekly. |
