| Monument, and within easy driving distance to I-70, which connects Denver and Grand Junction, you’ll find a cozy little lodge, |
| tucked away in the wilderness. |
| We offer two different packages to choose from: If you like the comfort of a room and a bed, we recommend Package I, |
| which includes a two-night stay at the "base camp" and an all-day riding excursion into the majestic mountain wilderness. |
| For those that desire to "rough it" a bit more there is Package II, the pack trip package. Package I: upon arrival in the afternoon |
| make sure you leave enough time for a short ride to get acquainted with your horse. |
| The next morning, after a hardy breakfast, you will saddle up and ride out into the fascinating mountain wilderness. The ride |
| starts out at an altitude of 2400 meters but can take you up as far as 3000 meters. The actual route taken depends upon the |
| season. In almost no time you are deep in the wilds and far from civilization. For those that are looking for a little |
| entertainment in the evening, the nearby town of Colbran has a variety of western bars. Spend another night at the base |
| camp. |
| The first night of Package II is also spent at base camp. The next morning the horses ride out to the tent encampment. From |
| the encampment various rides are possible, or you can remain in camp and just enjoy the beauty of the unspoiled |
| wilderness. Next morning after a hardy cowboy breakfast the rides takes you back to the base camp. |
