| Cattle Drive | Code: | 471 |
The Montana High Country Cattle Drive takes place in southwestern Montana, just 30 Miles from the source of the Missouri
River. Ranchers first settled in the Missouri valley in the 1860’s and ‘70s. Each spring they would drive their cattle from the
winter range in the valley to the lush grass of the high mountain meadows of the Big Belt Mountains. Today their
descendants follow the same custom. You are invited to share in that tradition.
There will be plenty of time after the cattle are corralled each afternoon for you to explore, fish, hone your roping skills, swim
in crystal clear mountain streams, or just relax in the great outdoors! The Big Belt Mountains are abundant with wildlife
including deer, elk, black bear, coyotes, eagles, hawks, beaver, and birds.
